Farmer's Note
In 2013, I left my corporate job in Beijing and moved to Jinghong, a rural area of Yunnan province in Southwestern China, to chase my dream of owning a tea farm. I was young and full of energy, running in the mountains soaking in an abundance of knowledge about the forest, cultures, and — most importantly — tea. Finally, I acquired a tea garden inside an ancient forest with a self-sustainable ecosystem at 5,100ft elevation. Iron-rich soil and biodiversity allow us to forgo pesticide and fertilizer usage on the Pu’er big leaf tea trees. I also built a tea factory in the oldest village which was established in the 11th century by a local ethnic group called Ha Ni. Working together with the locals, we insist on using traditional Raw Pu’er making techniques to create this tea. We are thrilled that our Raw Pu’er tea is flying out of these mountains and into your cup.
